We used the tickets that I won from the Zoo last year to go see the Canberra Cavalry take on the Adelaide Bite this afternoon. I loved watching the players dive for either the bases or the ball, and thought the sneaking bases that one team member did was hilarious. I would have gotten an awesome shot of Bertie stealing a base had I not moved the camera too far over so I could better watch his dive. The game was pretty awesome to watch but went for about 3.5 hours, so our sun cream wore off and we are awfully burnt now. I suspect we will head out there more next year, I think the night games would be awesome, but I wonder how often they will play, there was maybe 200 people there to watch the game, and while the Fort couldn't hold a lot more people, I wonder how they cover their costs of the games, surely it can't all be sponsorship.
