Day 34 - Lego Torture

I thought today I would make Maddie's Mega Blocks Barbie Mansion, thinking that it would only take about half an hour and would be super easy. Boy was I wrong. It took me about 20 minutes per room, as I had to sort through a billion different bags to find each individual piece that was needed. No they were not bagged as parts per room, that would have been logical!!

After about two hours I had, had enough and most of the house was assembled, just the little accessories to go, so I called it a day and went to see how the extension was progressing. In the few minutes I was gone, Maddie managed to dismantle half of the house and then demanded that I put it back together. That didn't happen and I think the house will be going away very soon to come out in a few years when she can help build it.

Day 33 - Amusing

I saw this on Facebook today and thought that it was hilarious and clever. Unfortunately it seems like I am the only one, as it warranted two double bad comments when I shared it in the message we have with the Morgan's. Oh well, I guess everyone can't have a good sense of humour, lucky I got it.

Day 32 - Make up - 52/5

Nathan and Maddie headed across the road last night for a catch up, where Maddie was introduced to playing with Make-up. By the time I wandered over two hours after they left to find out what was going on, all the girls had random streaks of glitter on their face, and lip gloss on. Maddie ended up putting eye shadow all over all of the adults, Nathan and Chris included before I dragged her home, very upset that she was being made to go to bed at 10pm.

As bribery to get her to nap today, I told her that when she woke, we would open the set that she was given for Christmas from her Nannie up in Queensland. She had an awesome 3.5 hour nap, so when she later asked for the make-up she was allowed to have a play. Note to self, next time Maddie plays with eye shadows and lipsticks, do not go and water the plants, as you will come in to see this!! Maddie thought that she looked beautiful and had done an awesome job, I wasn't so convinced that so much blue was the way to go.
