3/4 - Tile's Have Started
It seems like forever ago that we started these extensions, but we are getting down to the final parts with the start of the Tiles going up on the walls today. It is pretty exciting seeing them happen as they make such a huge difference so quickly and you can really see an instant difference as they go up. Only 19 days until our owner builder insurance runs out, so we have to get working pretty fast to get the bathroom finished in time. So much work, so little time!

2/4 - Waterproofing
When Council has done previous certifying they told us that if we fail anything it is going to be the waterproofing of the ensuite. Turns out that they were right, as on Monday they came out the first time, had a quick look and said, you haven't done enough. That was so frustrating as the guy on the phone said the whole floor wasn't needed, just the nail holes and joins. It turns out that because we have the shower floor as part of the main room floor, and we aren't planning on putting a base in, then the whole floor is treated as a wet area. We also had to get Ian to tape around all edges and apply another two coats on top of the tape of the membrane which was frustrating for him, as he felt it wasn't necessary. Thankfully they came late yesterday afternoon and passed us, without even walking into the room!!
I have to say, the green colour of the waterproofing membrane is awesome. I think we should accessorize the bathroom with it, if only Nathan liked Green.

1/4/14 - Prize
Check out the prize I won off Homemade Kids Parties yesterday, a gift basket of party supplies. I have been watching the activities that these guys run out at Tulip's and while I would love to go, I just can't chase Maddie at the moment if she decides to run off. Hopefully I can convince someone else to try out the classes with me next term, although when I picked up my prize today it did look like the class was fairly well controlled and the play ground was all enclosed.

31/3/14 - Specialist
I finally managed to get someone who can explain my placenta thing to me today, when I attended the clinic run by FMU this morning. Lucy the doctor who assessed me explained it in such a simple way, that I feel a load better about this hurdle now as it shouldn't cause any concerns until delivery. I will get an extra scan at 36 weeks to assess what to do, and have an appointment to make a decision on how the baby will come and possibly when.
Maddie was pretty pleased to get to hear the babies heartbeat on the doppler, which is the first time its cooperated enough to be picked up by a doppler. The highlight for over-tired, cranky Maddie though, was the glove fish that Lucy made for her to keep her entertained for the 40 minutes we were in there.

14/3 - Birthday Cards
Maddie loves to do any kind of craft, but her favourite still seems to be making people cards. Nathan sent a message today, letting me know it was Judy's birthday tomorrow and that Maddie should make a card so while she was busy drawing and sticking stickers to the card, I started to sort out my craft boxes. I have 5 or 6 tubs of random supplies, mostly to do with Christmas, and after today's effort, one of those tubs is now all sorted with everything in zip lock bags to keep it tidy and organised. I wonder when the next card needs to be made so I can tackle another tub.

13/3 - Blue
Maddie asked if she could play with her make up today, and because I cant put her in the bath at the moment I said no and set her up to do some colouring instead. While I disappeared to put some washing away Maddie decided that she wanted to 'look funny' and decided that colouring her mouth in with blue texta would do the trick. Thankfully she was using Crayola Markers that washed off with just a face washer and some water, but for a while there I thought that she was going to be blue for a while. Maddie was so proud of her artwork when she looked in the mirror, and couldn't understand why I was washing it off. Eventually she got the idea that drawing on her face is a no no, so I went back to the washing, only to come out and discover that she had started on her foot. Ah to be able to read the mind of a three year old, some days I am sure it would be hilarious to know what they are thinking.

11/3 - Grace Sleep's Over
Despite the girls bickering like sisters all day today, Grace wanted to spend her last night close to Maddie, so she stayed inside with us to sleep. Both girls rolled off their ready beds so many times that I ended up giving up and not trying to get them back into their beds every 5 minutes. It is a shame that this photo is so dark and fuzzy, as it is so cute that Grace moved so close to Maddie that it looks like they are almost holding hands.
